Having graduated from the Public Administration Department at Istanbul University, Atilla Benli obtained his master's degree at the Insurance Department of Marmara University.
Mr. Benli, who has started his career as an Auditor at Garanti Bankasi, has also served as a Manager at various Branches and Units within the organization of the said company. Mr. Benli, who has served as the Unit Manager in charge of various units at the Financial Affairs, Operations, Agency and Broker Distribution Sales Channel within the organization of Garanti Sigorta, has started to serve as the Executive Vice President, Financial Affairs Management, Human Resources, Claims and Legal Departments, at BNP Paribas Cardiff in 2007.
Thereafter, he has served as the Executive Vice President in charge of the Claims Group within the organization of Groupama Sigorta and Groupama Hayat & Emeklilik, and he has also served as the Executive Vice President, Sales, Finance and Financial Affairs, Human Resources, Technical and Actuary Departments within the organization of Vakif Emeklilik.
Having held office as the Executive Vice President in charge of the Claims Damage within the organization of Zurich Insurance in 2016, and as the Executive Vice President in charge of the Sales and Distribution Channels within the organization of Zurich Insurance in 2018, and also as a Member of the Board of Directors of the said said Company in the same year.
Atilla Benli, who has started to hold offfice as the Member of the Board of Directors of Gunes Sigorta and the CEO thereof as of January 16, 2019, continues to serve as the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Insurance Association of Turkey, and as the Member of the Board of Directors of the Pension Reserve Fund of the Council of Europe, and as the Member of the Board of Directors of TARSIM (Agricultural Insurance Pool) and Turkish P&I, and also as the the Head of the Steering Committee of Guvence Hesabi (Assurance Account). Mr. Benli has also been appointed to serve as the member of the Board of Directors of JCR Eurasia Rating as of January 17, 2020.
